Energy Industry Congratulates Grant King and Frank Calabria

The Australian Energy Council has thanked and congratulated Grant King on his distinguished service to the Australian energy industry.

The Australian Energy Council’s Chief Executive, Matthew Warren said “as Managing Director and CEO of Origin Energy Ltd, Grant King has been an outstanding leader of the energy industry in Australia.

“Under his leadership Origin has become one of Australia’s leading integrated energy businesses.  Grant has also been a strong advocate for energy policy reform.  His knowledge and vision have been an invaluable influence on the energy industry and governments alike.

“On behalf of the energy industry I would like to congratulate Frank Calabria on his appointment as Origin’s next Managing Director and CEO.

“Frank has emerged as a respected industry leader over the past decade, reflected in his successful Chairmanship of the Energy Supply Association of Australia and now as the Chair of the Australian Energy Council.

“He is widely regarded across a broad group of stakeholders and is committed to continued reform of the sector as we rise to meet the challenges of transformation, decarbonisation and the evolving expectations of consumers in the 21st century.”
